... And I'm not kidding. Get ready to read an x-file tale (or something very much like it).

For starts, I've always been a little skeptic about these so called meant-to-be things or clichés like "everything happens for a reason" or even "there is no such thing as coincidence". I mean, yes, I do believe in pure and simple coincidence, with no other meanings but only plain chance. People who believe in fate or destiny only interpretate events the way they want to - it's nothing but their uncounsious willing to see reality the way it is more convenient to them.

But today all my certainty vanished. And I tell you, it is pretty scary.

Today I went to the mall with my aunt (maybe the right sentence is "today I was *dragged* by my aunt to the mall"), and after gettind rid of her and her obssesion in buying shoes (I absolutely HATE buying shoes), I ran to the book store. There, the first thing that hits me are the first notes of "Yellow" by Coldplay. I immediately think of Olivia (v23) and her astounding music video set on this very song (if you didn't see it yet, what are you waiting for?).

All my vidder's block came back to me, and how much I loved that vid. So, just for a change, I start thinking about the X-Files. Until then, nothing unsual.

So I began looking for a map of the city I'm on right now (I'm on vacation, and I hate not knowing where I am and what is around me) and to my frustration, I quickly found it. The problem was that I didn't want to go back shoe-hunting with my aunt, so I decided to hang around for a while in the book store. Then, I took a look at my watch: 10:13. And Coldplay stops playing. Right on that second.

This is when things start getting... well, spooky.

As I am very good in denial, I just ignored it - after all, coincidences happens all the time, and they are just that: coincidences.

Right in front of me, as if begging for attetion, stands a huge pile of books, and they are all in promotion - very, very VERY low prices. And I simply cannot resist books. I just can't. It is beyong me. So there I go, digging for something good. The funny thing is, the first book I looked over was the one I bought in the end - it didn't matter how many other books I looked.

So I bought it, met with my aunt and finally confessed to her I did NOT want to buy the whole damn mall, and we could just sit down and drink something very very hot (today was the coldest winter day here. Hate it).

So there I was, sitting in a café in front of the book store, drinking chocognac (I don't know how much famous this drink is, but is basically hot chocolate and cognac). What does one do in this situation? They open a book! And that's what I do. And just by chance, I opened the book in "PART 2 - AMSTERDAN" (or whatever you people write the name of this city in English). And there I see a quotation that automatically draws my attention. I'll quoquote (?) it:

"Mulder, the truth is out there... but so are lies".

This is the part where I drop dead and my aunt has to call an ambulace.

Nah, not THAT much, but I certainly attracted the whole cafeteria's attetion when I screamed out.

Yes, ladies and gentleman, Martyn Bedford IS a phile! I didn't even know the guy, but I already like him.

The book is called "The Houdini girl" (may I point out that last night I watched "Death defying acts" T__T), and it is lying right here, side by side with my mom's laptop, just waiting to be eaten by me.

When I got home I just realised something else that definetely shook my belief in "just-coincidence": today is IWTB Anniversary!

I'll just go dig a few of books dealing with the occult that my mom keeps at home.

Bye everyone and... TRUST NO ONE (NOR ANYTHING!)! IT IS ALWAYS TENTHIRTEEN!
